    Learn how to paint using this fast drying paint. During this course, you will learn how to manipulate acrylics while also learning art basics such as value, color mixing, and composition. Michelle will guide you from the beginnings of getting to know your mixes, brush stroke techniques, and much more.   Instructor:  Michelle Teitsma Michelle is a local artist and teacher who specializes in acrylics, oils and watercolours with line. She has exhibited and taught throughout the Niagara-Hamilton area and is currently teaching at DVSA and Creative Insight Pottery.   • Landscape Painting
    $280.00
    Initial classes include how to prepare a value sketch, effective drawing for Acrylic painting. During these classes students will learn the importance of shape, value and color with Acrylic painting techniques with stronger compositions and much more. We will learn light and shadow effects and how to paint landscapes with confidence. Group and individual instructions will be provided to students. Students provide their own materials. We will handle different seasons. *Students are to provide their own materials *Suggested materials list:         Paints – Winsor and Newton, Liquitex and Golden are good brands to consider. Try to get a basic assortment of different colors:
    • reds
    • blues
    • yellows
    • paynes grey
    • greens
    • white
    • brownsBrushes:A mixture of Flat, Filbert & Round in an assortment of different sizes. Have at least one 10/0 for fine details. Canvas – your choice of smaller size canvasses (not too huge please). As we progress you may explore larger or smaller canvas sizes.Other Materials:
    • Washable or disposable palatte
    • Rags and/or paper towels
    • Ruler
    • Pencil
    • Palette knife (optional) 
    Instructor: Bhairavi Talpade Bhairavi is a multidisciplinary artist, she expresses herself with different art forms like painting, craft, sculpture and pyrography. She handles different painting mediums: watercolors, oil pastels, pen-ink and acrylics. Bhairavi was born in an artistic Indian family.     We will learn how to paint still life, floral, landscape , birds , figures etc. subjects with confidence. Few classes include how to prepare a value sketch, effective drawing for watercolour. We will also learn imaginative textures, glazing, and creating reflective surfaces with focus on loose watercolours, wet on wet, dry brush effect, pen-wash and other techniques.
