We’ll take the students on a fun ride through some of the key skills and techniques used to create some beautiful watercolour pieces. Some techniques include wet on wet, wet on dry, gradients, colour blending, salt, relief painting, resistance painting, and bubbles! Projects will frequently be focused on animals, seasons and nature. Michelle will guide you from the beginnings of getting to know your mixes, brush stroke techniques, and much more. $280.00Initial classes include how to prepare a value sketch, effective drawing for Acrylic painting. During these classes students will learn the importance of shape, value and color with Acrylic painting techniques with stronger compositions and much more. We will learn light and shadow effects and how to paint landscapes with confidence. Group and individual instructions will be provided to students. Students provide their own materials. We will handle different seasons. *Students are to provide their own materials *Suggested materials list:     Paints – Winsor and Newton, Liquitex and Golden are good brands to consider. Try to get a basic assortment of different colors:

Description: This beginner/intermediate class covers fundamental fine art skills. Students will learn to draw and paint still-life, portraits, landscapes, and subjects of their own choosing. This course will dive into both realistic and abstract art in a variety of styles, referencing great artists and movements such as surrealism, cubism, pop art, impressionism, and more. Students will begin by practicing basic techniques, sketching, and observation skills regardless of previous experience. The instructor will then work with each student to choose a project that is both challenging and inspiring for their level of ability. No previous experience is expected.
